High-rise apartments and building management Many buildings in Bondi Junction, Edgecliff and Double Bay require a booked service lift, a set moving window and a copy of the removalist's public liability insurance before the day. We contact building management in advance, send the paperwork, and protect the lobby, corridors and lift so there are no surprises for you or the strata.
Terraces and narrow staircases Paddington, Woollahra and Surry Hills terraces are beautiful but tight. Narrow stairs, low ceilings and sharp turns at the landing can stop a king-size base or a large sofa. We check access before the move, dismantle and reassemble furniture where needed, and use rear lanes for loading when the street front is too tight.
Parking and loading Parking is the hidden cost of many Eastern Suburbs moves. We help you plan where the truck will stand, whether a council permit or loading dock booking is needed, and how to keep the walk from truck to door as short as possible. Less walking means fewer hours on your invoice.

Most local moves are charged by the hour, from the time we arrive to the time we finish unloading. As a guide, 2 movers and a truck start from $180 per hour, and 3 movers and a truck from $270 per hour.
What changes the price most in the Eastern Suburbs:

Can you provide an insurance certificate for my building? Yes. We hold public liability insurance and send the certificate directly to your building manager or strata before moving day.
Do you book the lift with building management? We can contact building management for you to confirm the lift booking, moving hours and any protection requirements. Some buildings only accept bookings from residents, in which case we tell you exactly what to ask for.
How far ahead should I book? Weekends and the end of the month fill up first. For those dates, booking 2 to 3 weeks ahead is a good idea. Midweek moves are often available at shorter notice.
Can you move furniture up narrow terrace stairs? In most cases, yes. We assess the access beforehand, dismantle what needs dismantling and protect walls and banisters. If an item truly will not fit, we tell you before moving day, not on the stairs.
What can't you move? We can't connect or disconnect gas appliances, and we can't transport highly flammable items such as gas bottles or propane tanks.
Do you move from the Eastern Suburbs to the Gold Coast or Brisbane? Yes. We run regular moves between Sydney, the Gold Coast and Brisbane, with dedicated-truck options.
